About us

Name: Emma Telford

My qualifications: Photography BA Honours degree from Bradford College in 2009.

My Work: Since then I have been taking photos of architecture and landscape, wildlife, pets and people as well as automotive photography and weddings (which can all be viewed in the galleries on this website).

Why I choose to be a photographer
: I used to and do and still do a lot of painting and other art projects, I got into photography as an aid to my landscape painting at first but then my passion for photography took over from around the age of 16 when I decided to take photography as an A level at college and then carried on to degree level at Bradford College. I also have a permanent exhibition in the halls of Leeds General Infirmary Heart Center showing scenes from all over Yorkshire, the work was a donation to the Leeds Charity Take Heart.

: My main interest in photography is taking photos of coastal scenes including lighthouses, beach huts, boat houses etc, this is a work in progress over my life and I intend on publishing some books. This interest has led me into becoming a member of the ALK (Association of Lighthouse Keepers) for whom I became an assistant editor of the charity magazine Lamp. I am also passionate about the protection of all wildlife and my hope is that my work can help in some small way and protect wildlife for future generations. To help acheive this goal I am teaming up with Viva and their sceme Art for Animals.
